	Hans J Wegner for Carl Hansen & Son Hand J. Wegner opened his own design studio in 1943. In Denmark the turning point in his career came in 1949 and internationally in 1951 (USA). He has made tenders for all kind of furniture but mostly for chairs. His favourite material has always been wood. In 1992 he handed over his design studio to his daughter Marianne.
